Fun. Kind. Powerhouse.
I use these three words to define what success looks like in my life. If I am being these things in work and life, I know I am delivering the best for my clients, team, friends, family and community. Success is about being who I want to be in the world, not what I achieve.
When I started Assent Communications, I was rebuilding my life after a long career in communications and some challenging life experiences. I started with small, one-off projects and focused 150% on solving their problems and meeting client needs. I was studying law at the time, juggling 3 young kids, work and study. Legal issue identification, problem solving, benchmarks, standards and evidence-based decision making directly informed how I solved communications problems.
My career also included 25+ years of experience solving communications problems in many places from regional Queensland to Silicon Valley USA, the UK and Hong Kong.
The business grew organically over the last 5 years. One project at a time, one client at a time. I loved solving tricky problems with my clients and celebrating their big impacts and outcomes. And now, here we are – over 52 major local and state government projects since 2017 and counting, a growing team and expanding relationships with wonderful clients.

Inquisitive. Adaptive. Authentic.
From my first days working at Assent Communications, I knew I had found a rare opportunity to work on diverse and engaging projects in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. At Assent Communications challenges are overcome together, and creativity is fortified by facts.
While I am fresh in the world of communications, I am passionate about making new connections and facing new challenges head on. I love meeting new clients because it always brings a unique experience, and often great relationships. I meet new problems with enthusiasm, because it means a new chance to explore undiscovered skills and solutions for our clients.
Through my work with Assent Communications, I am able to exercise my analytical muscles while using creativity to discover abstract and effective methods of achieving our clients’ goals.
While I am currently working to complete my bachelor’s degree in law and communications at the Queensland University of Technology and working with Assent Communications.
I bring a detail-oriented and research driven approach to my work. I have developed sophisticated critical thinking skills that help me to look at complex client problems methodically to quickly assist in developing resolutions.
When I’m not working (or studying), you can find me on top of one of the various beautiful mountains we have here on the Sunshine Coast!

Senior Communications Professional
I am a senior communications professional with extensive experience in managing and implementing media and community engagement strategies. This often involves providing extensive media liaison services, as well as high-level crisis issues management support for key internal and external stakeholders. I also have a Bachelor of Laws, which brings evidence-based skills and problem-solving rigour to the work I do.
Put simply, my engagement in projects is dependable and defensible with the community, because my results are rational, logical and, most importantly, factually correct.
When I’m not working, I relish being a mother and also a dog-parent to my three bulldogs!
